It’s Like Butta…. Talk Amongst Yourselves

Revlon has done it again when it comes to lip products.  I have been very fond of their Colorburst lipsticks and their Super Lustrous Lipgloss.  Their Colorburst lipglosses have been a hit as well.  Now they have unveiled the newest in their Colorburst line with lip butters.  Ooooooo.  These are flying off the shelves and I can see why.

First let’s talk about the pretty packaging, it’s simply darling with the color, foggy, see-through covers in the quilt pattern.  They have clear windows on the tops so you can see the product color.  Next Revlon gets devilish by bringing us a wide variety of colors (not all pictured here).  Now that is just wrong.  Which ones do you pick?  It makes you want them all.  The colors go on sheer but….. they layer like a dream.  So you can choose the level of color in how you wear them.  The grand finale of course is how they go on and how they feel.  To put it in the Saturday Night Live Coffee Talk voice, like butta!!  The name lip butter is just that.  These are so creamy and moisturizing it’s crazy.

So far I have seen these at Walgreens but I’m guessing they are at CVS and other drug and grocery stores.  The other thing I like about these is that they are affordable and Walgreens was having a buy one get one at 50% for Revlon products.  Double score.

I can tell you, these are awesome.  I am loving these!  I would say run to your nearest drugstore and get these for stocking stuffers and while you are at it pick up some for yourself.

 

I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Meee…

I wanted to think of something a little more fun for my nails for Halloween.  I thought of those google eyes and thought that would be really cute to give the impression of spooky things in the dark looking at you.  All I did was have my nails painted black and glued on the tiny google eyes, plus some bigger ones on my thumbs.  This would also look great on top of a light monster green type of nail polish too and I almost did that!  I’ll probably film a tutorial on this too so stay tuned.

Cougar Attack

Here is the lastest polish I’m sporting on my claws.  It’s called Cougar Attack (how cute is that?) from the Halloween collection of Wet n Wild.  Only $1.99 at CVS kiddies.  I’m loving the color orange these days so this is perfect for the season.  It’s straight up orange glitter in a black jelly base.  So when it goes on, you get tons of the glitter with a bit of the black coming through.  I’m betting this would look great on the tosies too.  I have on two coats.

Recommended Summer Scent

Been getting a wee bit addicted to perfume these days and so I’m always wanting to try a lot of new things.  Even with wanting to try something new, I still have my favorites that I still stick to.

One of my favorites for the spring and summer that I thought I would recommend is Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears.

 I’m really not a fan of Britney herself but I like her Fantasy scents quite a lot.  One thing I will say is her scents tend to last too.  Pretty bottles, nice scents and long lasting… what’s not to like?  They are also decent in price as well which I can appreciate.

Circus Fantasy seems to fit just right for summer.  Fruity (though it smells more citrus to me) and floral with a bit of musk.  Of course the scent description write up describes it much more dramatically!

Scent description:  The spectacle opens with juicy accords of sugar-coated raspberry and apricot blossom, reminiscent of tempting candy.  The magic continues as blue peony, waterlily and addictive red sweetheart orchid take the limelight with delicious sensations and exhilarating temptations.  The grand finale is a captivating sense of seductive sensuality, blending sweet vanilla wood, creamy musks and violet candy.

Favorite Product For a 3rd of the Price

We all know that more expensive doesn’t always mean better, especially when we can find an identical product for less.  That is the case for me this week.

All my life I have used Colgate toothpaste and I swear by it.  Over the years I have tried different things here and there but I always go back to Colgate.

I was at the dollar store the other day and decided to try another golden oldie that’s been around for ages.  Ultra brite.  Of course as I looked at the packaging more closely, I realized that this is actually a Colgate brand toothpaste.  On top of that, I compared the ingredients to the Ultra brite with Baking Soda and Peroxide Whitening to my Colgate with Baking Soda and Peroxide Whitening. 

Same EXACT ingredients.  Nothing different at all.  Nothing.   It’s Colgate in another package/name and… for a 3^rd of the price!  Maybe I’m a dumb bell for not knowing that all these years.

Ultra Brite is now my new staple and for only $1 for 6 oz you can’t beat it!

Technical Difficulties

So…. Haven’t had any videos on the Youtube channel lately.  My video cam along with my regular cameras were stolen.  Sad but true.  I will be getting a new cam any day and will resume videos as soon as humanly possible so stay tuned!

UPDATE:  I’m making videos again.  I may even still get another camera as I don’t like the quality of this one.  But at least I’m back up and running.

Annual Hair Spray Sale!

If you have not heard of Beauty Brands annual hairspray sale then you are missing out!  This is a store that carries TONS of hair products in many, many brands – mostly high end salon brands.  The store also sells a bit of makeup, nail polish and has an in house salon.

Every year this chain has an annual hairspray sale where ALL hair spray, no matter what brand are only $7.98 a can.  I’m talking full size too.  There is only one week left to this fab sale so get going and take advantage of this and stock up.  I grabbed some bottles and may go back for more!  Gotta have that Big Sexy Hair for only $7.98 fo sho.

 Locations are pretty limited so you’ll have to check and see if one is in your area.

M..M..Mermaids!

How cute is the latest G perfume bottle?!  I LOVE mermaids so of course I think this is adorable.  I sooo want it.  It’s the Harajuku Lovers G of the Sea and that is sooo going on my wish list.  This is suppose to be a new scent and not like the original G scent.  I also did not see the other girls in a mermaid form, just G.  But I’m guessing maybe Gwen will unveil the others soon? 

 

The scent is described as a citrusy woody-floral perfume.  it seems to be, without saying it in so many words, her summer, aquatic and breezy edition for beach season.  It sounds like a great scent from the description.

Purple With A Punch

I have found the most awesome purple nail polish and on the cheap too!  LA Girls brand in their Rock Star series.  The color is called Groupie and it’s amazing.  The pictures seem to give it a more blue look no matter what so it’s a color you have to see on your nails in person.  This is my new fav purple and I’ve gotten compliments on it.  Scrangie has pictures of ALL the Rock Star series colors.  I may just be getting some of those too.
